Scholarship Destinations include
China, France, USA, Spain & Italy
- Round-trip flight and airport transfer to homestay community.
- 3 week stay with a volunteer host family.
- 3 meals a day provided in the home. If you choose to eat away
from the home you must purchase your own meals.
- Visa costs if necessary
- Personal expenses (souvenirs etc.)

Students from China, France , USA, Spain and Italy, ages 14 - 18 years of age and currently enrolled in high school are eligible to apply.
Qualified applicant must submit the following items to create a completed application package on or before February 18th, 2019:
- Current color photograph
- Typed AILI Application
- Medical Information
- Applicant Agreement Form
- Parent Release Form
- Blog/Photo Waiver
- Two Letters of Recommendation
- Project about a country or culture that is of interest (samples)
- Host family letter written in English with photos
- Copy of current passport (if you have one)
- Host Family application
All documents must be scanned and submitted to AILI via email on or before February 15th, 2018.
Qualified candidates will be selected after the AILI board reviews the application packages and will be invited for an interview the week of February 25th, 2019. Applicants must be available during their scheduled interview time slot. Final selection will be based on the application package and interview as a whole.
The scholarship recipients will be selected and announced on March 1st 2019. Dates will vary for the cultural homestay travel between June 15th and August 15th depending upon destination and availability.
